In 1988 Andrew & Helen Brough formed Brough Plant Hire. Based in Nateby, Garstang, Preston in Lancashire, Brough Plant Hire was initially set up to provide plant hire to the construction industry but over the years with increasing requests for plant and labour the company developed into a specialist 'Groundwork and Civil Engineering' contractor. The company enjoyed steady growth, the result being the formation of Brough Construction Ltd in 1997 which now has a regular annual turnover in excess of £1 million.

Brough Construction has recently been appointed as the sole distributor for the North of England selling the Solo range of REMOTE CONTROLLED machinery.
Operable from up to 100m away, the Solo range are all simple and fun to use for companies and operators alike. The remote control operation reduces health and safety risks by removing the operator from the direct vicinity of the machine - meaning they can be used on gradients and in hazardous areas reducing the risk of accident and injury and eliminating HAV ( hand, arm vibration)
